I just thought there was maybe a way to see it all in one place, laid out clearly.
I just wanted to make the Fringe easier to navigate, especially for the international visitors.
So I kind of just built the thing I always wished existed.
The map will always stay free for the people using it.
The ambition is to take this to other big international events around the world.

Why we built this→
We're Oliver and Jessica. Edinburgh, born and raised. Every August since we were kids our family has done the Fringe together. Flyers piled on the kitchen table, the paper programme spread on the floor, parents working out how to fit four shows into one Sunday.
Oliver worked the festival across the Cowgate for three summers, behind a bar. Tourists would arrive at Waverley, dazzled by just how much was on, and lean over the bar to ask him for a recommendation. The Fringe is the best month in Edinburgh, and there's so much of it that most visitors only ever see a corner. We wanted to help them find more.
Jessica is the youngest in the family and the designer in this one. She studies at Northumbria University and just landed her first internship at Nuby UK as a graphic design intern, working across packaging and digital. Anything on this site that looks like a graphic designer made it, she did.
Oliver studied at Northumbria too, then spent the last year on the Genoa ES accelerator between New York, Silicon Valley and Italy. Just home in Edinburgh. The brains and the build are his, the design is Jessica's.
We built Fringe Map so anyone who steps off the train at Waverley can see our city the way we see it. Open the map. Pick a vibe. Find a show.
Oliver also runs soundedout.com, a discovery map for nightlife.
