A woman of a certain age is forced to trace the unruly manuscript of her life when a hijacking shatters the ordinary. Life snaps, twists, tumbles. Fear, fury, faith collide. Old choices that sting yet refuse burial. Her fierce devotion to animals becomes refuge and rebellion, a way of loving without condition. Like a ghost walk through the Eternal City’s layered past, memory flickers as she confronts truths avoided about survival, reinvention and resilience.
